Congress Fails To Prioritize Long-Term Care

With the Build Back Better plan stalled facing heavy and uniform opposition, its plans to help long-term care programs also fall short. Congress can’t bring itself together to pass this legislation, which robs many older Americans of crucial support they need. 

The BBB plan would have expanded and supported many LTC programs, along with other medical programs to help take care of our most vulnerable citizens. However, with it being in limbo, it’s now evident that these programs are going to either fail, or never even exist. 

Whether or not the government offers certain protections for its citizens, it's always a wise choice to have independent plans in place. This can take many forms and result in many plans, from saving up to purchasing LTC insurance.
